No Longer Stagnant

Welcome to my journey of self-discovery and growth. In this series of posts, I’ll be diving deep into the negative qualities that have held me back and exploring how I can overcome them to achieve success and fulfillment.

One of the biggest obstacles I face is my tendency towards impulsive behaviors. Case in point: starting this blog. I had no prior experience with WordPress or blogging, yet the idea popped into my head, and I impulsively dove right in. This impulsive decision-making often coincides with my struggle with laziness. While my true passion lies in creating videos on YouTube, I find myself lacking the necessary skills and motivation to pursue it.

Instead, I’ve chosen the path of least resistance—writing. It’s a medium I’m somewhat familiar with, and it allows me to express myself without the need for technical expertise. But could this impulsive leap into blogging be a blessing in disguise? Perhaps. While investing that £40 into something more practical may have been the wiser choice, there’s a small chance that this blog could resonate with others—or even with myself—and become a source of personal growth and insight.

I recognise that my impulsive behavior isn’t a superpower; it’s a flaw that needs addressing. Growing up in a deprived area may have contributed to this tendency, but I refuse to let it define me. By shining a light on my impulsive tendencies and taking deliberate steps to overcome them, I hope to break free from the cycle of rash decision-making and pave the way for a brighter future.

My immediate plans to improve this quality

1 Ask myself will I regret this tomorrow

2 Meditate/Quiet time daily

3 Seek medical advice as to whether I have adhd

4 Show more love to myself and want what’s best for me
