So two days ago I wrote about my intentions of starting a dog walking business I aimed to be live by Friday today is Wednesday and im live !
How I did it ?
well my initial plan was set up a Facebook and next door page promote an add and do some flyers, in hindsight that was very 2008 of me!
Instead I simply downloaded an app my reason for doing so is I am a dog owner and anytime I have needed someone to mind my dog ( I always walk her myself) I simply use this app.
setting up my profile took about 20 minutes I just needed i.d my bank details and a few pictures.
the benefiets, they are an established company they do all the payments, provide me insurance and most importantly put me directly infront of people looking for my exact services all for 20%
So boom that’s a potential income stream created with such little effort or time. as I previously said this won’t make me rich but it got started I have a little business of my own and I made it happen !
My biggest takeaway from this is don’t recreate the wheel, sure it takes brilliance to create something excellent but one of the best business rules I heard of is simply “solve a problem” if someones ill and needs their dog walked guess what I can solve that problem.
